Farm Tours — Coming Soon

We’re in Pahala on the south side of the Big Island. Come see the coffee’s journey from cherry to cup and taste some freshly brewed coffees.

Specialty Coffee 101 — Coming Soon

A half-day on the farm. Leave knowing your coffee.

Most people drink coffee every day and never think about where it comes from, what makes one cup better than another, or why some beans cost $8 a pound and others cost $80. This workshop changes that.

Hosted at A Coffee Farm on the slopes of Mauna Loa, Specialty Coffee 101 is a small-group, hands-on experience for curious coffee drinkers — no prior knowledge required.

What’s Included

  • Farm walk through our Kaʻu lots — see coffee at different stages of growth and processing
  • Tasting and side-by-side comparison of multiple coffees — dark vs. light roasts, different processing methods, and defected coffees so you can taste the difference yourself
  • Introduction to specialty coffee — what separates exceptional from ordinary, and how the specialty grade system works
  • On-site roasting demo — watch a fresh roast happen start to finish
  • Take home a freshly roasted 8 oz Washed and 8 oz Craft — roasted for the occasion
  • Additional bags available for purchase on the day

Details

  • Duration: approximately 3 hours
  • Location: 96-3805 Kaalaiki Road, Pahala, HI 96777
